HALDIA, 19 JULY: A local company, formed by land losers who gave up their land for setting up of Haldia port have successfully commenced operations inside Haldia port.

Five Star Logistics Private Limited, a Stevedore and Cargo Handling agent commenced work on MV Elikon carrying Manganese Ore loaded from Port of Libreville, Gabon at Berth No 4B of the Haldia port with their own equipment.

In the history of Haldia port Five Star is only the third Stevedore and Handling Agent to carry out port operations for dry bulk cargo inside the port.
