KALYANI, 6 JULY: The jewellery market of Haringhata received a sparkling new addition on Sunday morning with the grand opening of Bijoy Jewellers’ first showroom in the area. Located opposite Swapna Cinema Hall in the bustling Jamunapara Market, the store opened its doors at 11 a.m., drawing a significant crowd from the very beginning.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by the mother of Ramkrishna Modak, the proprietor of Bijoy Jewellers. She was joined by family members, prominent residents, and invited guests during the ceremonial launch. The showroom was decorated with balloons, flowers, and lights, creating a festive atmosphere that drew passersby and customers alike. Guests were offered sweets as part of the inaugural celebrations.

“Customers often visit with their children,” said Ramkrishna Modak. “We’ve set up a small play area with toy cars and games so that children can remain engaged while their parents shop without distractions.”
