HANSKHALI, 27 JUNE: In an impassioned rally, Abhishek Banerjee, the National General Secretary of the Trinamul Congress (TMC), set the stage for the upcoming panchayat polls as he launched his campaign from Hanskhali in Nadia. With unrelenting fervor, Banerjee unleashed a scathing attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing its leaders of rampant corruption from top to bottom.
As the crowd hung onto his every word, Banerjee fearlessly called for the removal of the BJP from power, promising that under a TMC-led government corrupt leaders would face the consequences of their actions.
But Banerjee’s criticism did not stop at corruption alone. He also vehemently denounced the BJP’s misuse of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), accusing the central government of employing it as a deceptive tool to fool the people of West Bengal. With his passionate oratory skills and unwavering determination, Banerjee captured the attention of the gathering, comprised of a substantial number of Matua community members, who have sought refuge from neighboring Bangladesh.
Addressing the crowd, Banerjee declared that the BJP’s era of dominance would soon come to an end, envisioning a future where an impartial judiciary and unhindered investigative agencies would expose the wrongdoings of the party’s leaders, leading to their imprisonment. Undeterred by the Prime Minister’s alleged actions against his own family, Banerjee boldly challenged Narendra Modi, asserting that his own arrogance surpassed that of the elder statesman. He vowed to fight for the release of funds for the 100-days job program, reminding the audience that their support for the TMC would keep his head unbowed, even in the face of adversity.
With his compelling words, Banerjee energized the crowd, urging them to cast their votes in favor of the TMC, promising that the elected representatives would diligently serve the people over the next five years. He assured the gathering that any leader found guilty of wrongdoing would be held accountable and faces appropriate punishment, a clear contrast to the BJP’s alleged practice of accommodating corrupt individuals within its ranks.
As the panchayat polls draw near, Banerjee’s impassioned campaign launch is expected to resonate throughout Nadia and beyond, igniting fervor among voters and potentially influencing the electoral landscape in West Bengal. The fight against corruption and the BJP’s misuse of power has been taken to a new level, and the battle for political supremacy promises to be fierce, with Banerjee leading the charge for change.
