Air Marshal V R Chaudhari to be next Chief of Air Staff

NEW DELHI, 21 SEP: The government on Tuesday has named Air Marshal VR Chaudhari, presently the Vice Chief of Air Staff, as the next Chief of Air Staff, the Defence Ministry has announced.

Chaudhari will take charge as the next Chief of Air Staff after the retirement of Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria on 30 September.

Air Marshal Chaudhari was commissioned into the fighter stream of the Indian Air Force on December 29, 1982.

He has held command, staff and instructional appointments at various levels, including the present one as Vice Chief of Air Staff.

Air Marshal Chaudhari, who is decorated with PVSM, AVSM, VM, is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington.
