MIDNAPORE, 23 MARCH: As the first phase assembly election is scheduled to begin on Saturday, the BJP top leaders like Union home minister Amit Shah and the party’s national president J P Nadda bolstered the election campaign in West Midnapore today.
Mr Shah held a massive road show in Midnapore town while Mr Nadda took part in another huge road show in Ghatal.
Thousands of supporters and workers in both the places took part in the rallies, which began at around 2 pm, as residents stood on both sides of the roads and balconies to witness the show.
The both leaders waved at the spectators and showered flowers on the participants of the road shows as the saffron party candidates stood by their sides.
While leading the road show in Midnapore which commenced from Keranitala and concluded at Goalkuar Chawk, Mr Shah once again claimed that BJP would win by more than 200 seats. “The people of Bengal are ready for a change. The huge crowd who attended the road show indicates that people are ready to change,” said Mr Shah.
