KRISHNAGAR, 5 SEP: On the occasion of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday, the Teachers Association of Asannagar Madanmohan Tarkalanka College organized a vibrant and enlightening program, celebrating the ideals of the revered philosopher and former President of India.
The program commenced with an opening address by the college’s principal, Ashok Kumar Das, who emphasized the importance of nurturing a strong student-teacher relationship. He reflected on the moral values that should underpin this relationship, setting the tone for the event.
One of the highlights of the program was the speech delivered by Dr. Chirantan Sarkar, a distinguished college professor, who discussed the enduring relevance of Dr. Radhakrishnan’s ideals in today’s educational landscape. He stressed the need to remember and implement these principles in modern education.
A thought-provoking lecture was delivered by Professor Dibyendu Bhattacharya from Kalyani University’s Department of Education. Professor Bhattacharya delved into Radhakrishnan’s ideas on education and how they could be applied to the current national education policy, adding a unique perspective to the event.
During the program, a book edited by Dr. Aniruddha Saha, a professor in the College’s Education Department, was unveiled. This book promises to contribute to the field of education and was well-received by the attendees.
The event was skillfully conducted by Parthapratim Banerjee, an Associate Professor in the Department of English, who ensured the smooth flow of the program.
As the program concluded, Dr. Biswajit Poddar, the Secretary of the Teachers’ Council, extended his gratitude to all the participants and attendees for their active involvement and support. With that, the Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday celebration at Asannagar Madanmohan Tarkalanka College came to a successful close.
