KOLKATA, 30 MAY: In a bold stride towards transforming education into a springboard for public service careers, Behala College has joined hands with BrainQ Private Limited to launch an unprecedented initiative that blends academic excellence with emotional resilience. The collaboration, formalized through a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 24, marks a new chapter in student empowerment by aligning classroom learning with real-world readiness.
NAAC-accredited with an A++ grade and affiliated with the University of Calcutta, Behala College is now at the forefront of implementing the National Education Policy’s vision of employability and holistic development. The partnership aims not only to sharpen students’ competitive edge in government job examinations through BrainQ’s expert-led video lectures, but also to foster their mental well-being through structured stress management support.
Dr. Sharmila Mitra, Principal of Behala College, described the agreement as “a pivotal step in bridging the gap between education and profession.” She added, “The BrainQ application is expected to guide our students toward their desired careers while equipping them with tools to manage the psychological demands of competitive preparation.”
Speaking at the MoU ceremony, Dr. Sravasti Chakraborty, IQAC Coordinator, stressed the app’s role in enabling hybrid, self-paced learning, which she believes will boost students’ confidence and broaden their career horizons.
BrainQ Private Limited’s Director, Dr. Mandira Saha, elaborated on the app’s multi-pronged approach: “From Mathematics to General Knowledge, our app offers a free and comprehensive training suite tailored for government exam aspirants. But what truly sets us apart is our commitment to mental health—our ‘Stress Management’ section, developed with AIIMS Kalyani doctors, ensures that students not only study harder but also live healthier.”
She also spotlighted BrainQ’s special emphasis on women’s health, with educational modules on menstrual hygiene aimed at promoting awareness and dignity among young women.
This collaboration signals a transformative shift in higher education—one where academic aspiration, emotional strength, and inclusive support come together to build a future-ready generation.
