KRISHNAGAR, 11 APRIL: A BJP leader was shot at when he was returning home after attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally held in Krishnagar last night.
The incident occurred at Hanshkhali at around 8 pm.
Nityananda Sarkar, a BJP booth committee president of Mamjoan in Hanskhali was immediately taken to a local nursing home from where he was admitted to the Kalyani JNM hospital.
BJP leaders alleged that Trinamul Congress goons attempted to kill him. They even attacked him with sharp edge weapon.
TMC leaders, however, rubbished the allegation saying that it was the fallout of the BJP’s internal feuds.
