KRISHNAGAR, 23 APRIL: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials today detained three youths and accompanied them to Hanskhali to ascertain whether they were involved in the gruesome incident where a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gang raped at the birthday party of Braja, son of the Trinamul Congress panchayat member Samar Gayali.
According to sources, the CBI officials have detained Kalam, Keshav and Surojit Roy whose names were revealed by the arrested Braja, Prabhakar and Ranjit during interrogation. The CBI got the three accused in their custody and they carried out reconstructions of scene according to their revelation before the investigating agency.
The sources also said Braja has called Surojit to attend his birthday party but Surojit’s mother claimed before the CBI officials that her son didn’t turn up on that day.
