CBI reconstructs crime scene of BJP worker murder case in Jhargram

JHARGRAM, 30 AUGUST: A team of CBI officials today visited Vadui village under Jamboni police station limits in Jhargram to conduct a probe into the murder case of a BJP worker as a part of post poll violence.

The Calcutta high court had on 19 August ordered a court-monitored CBI probe into the incidents of post-poll violence.

After reaching Vaudi, the CBI officials met the family members of the deceased and recorded their versions. They also talked with the local residents.

On 5 May, Kishore Mandi, a BJP Kishan Morcha Mondol President was found dead near Mahua Chawk. The family members alleged that Kishore was killed by the Trinamul workers. They also lodged a complaint with the Jamboni police against six persons including the Dubra panchayat pradhan.

The local police had initiated a case and arrested three persons. The three FIR listed persons are still at large.

The officials of the CBI and the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) also recreated the crime scene of the BJP worker’s murder to try and get leads in the murder case.
