KRISHNAGAR, 18 APRIL: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials are all set to grill officer-in-charge (OC) and investigating officer (IO) of Hanskhali police station after they found some irregularities in the FIR lodged with them regarding Hanskhali rape and murder case.
In the FIR, the CBI officials found the names of the victim’s father and two neighbourers along with the name of the prime accused. During interrogation carried out by the central agency officials, the victim’s mother informed that she had no idea whether the name of her husband was tagged in the FIR. “I never mentioned our husband’s name and names of any neighbourers in the FIR,” the victim’s mother answered when the CBI officials asked whether she had mentioned his husband’s name in the FIR.
The CBI officials lodged an FIR which the Hanskhali police initially lodged and accordingly the CBI officials are probing the matter where the victim’s father name is listed with the name of the prime accused Brojo alias Sohail Gayali.
Meanwhile, the CBI officials have collected samples for DNA testing of the three accused and the parents of the victim. The agency will use the DNA test reports as the main tool to convict the accused in the case. The samples will be sent to Delhi Forensic Laboratory for the DNA test.
The CBI officials today once again brought the victim’s parents and her cousin brother to their camp office in Krishnagar and carried out an interrogation. During interrogation, they also brought three persons including a woman, who had rescued the minor from the village road and accompanied her to her house on the intervening night, to the camp office and they quizzed them thoroughly.
