KOLKATA, 23 MAY: Trinamul Congress Dum Dum MP Saugata Roy today said the defectors who are now showing their willingness to rejoin Trinamul Congress should wait at least for six months.
Mr Roy, however, said “The decision of party supremo will be final.”
“But I feel that those leaders who defected to BJP just before election for not getting a party ticket or even complaint of breathlessness in the party should not be accommodated so quickly in the party.”
“The BJP and the defectors with money and muscle power have caused enough trouble for us and our workers. The workers united and fight the BJP. I personally feel that our workers will be demoralised if the defectors are taken back in our party right now.”
Meanwhile, Trinamul Youth Congress general secretary and party’s spokesperson Debangshu Bhattacharya who rose to fame by creating party’s slogan Khela Hobe today posted in his Facebook an application form for the Trinamul defectors who wants to rejoin the party.
He made certain criteria for those who defected to BJP and now want to rejoin Trinamul Congress should mention that why did they defected to BJP for not getting a ticket, or cannot stand the nephew or feeling breathlessness in Trinamul Congress.
He also asked the defectors to submit the form to their conscience. He said, “Interestingly
these defectors are now feeling breathlessness in BJP.”
Mr Bhattacharya said, “These defectors are highly opportunist who left the party before election and now are trying to come back when Trinamul Congress has come in power with land slide victory.”
He humorously named the Application Form as the Form of the “Disgruntled Defectors” as these leaders are not in harmony in BJP now.
After Sonali Guha and Dipendu Biswas it’s now Amal Acharya of Itahar and Sarala Murmu of Habibpur Malda who defected to BJP even after getting a ticket from Trinamul Congress.
