The felicitation ceremony, held at the college campus in Nadia district, honoured rank holders from the period 2018–24, including six gold medalists and four silver medalists under University of Kalyani. Ten former students who cleared NET and SET examinations between 2018 and 2025 were also recognised.

Addressing the gathering, Officer-in-Charge Tulika Talukdar (Lahiri) highlighted the academic achievements of the students, particularly those from minority and female backgrounds. She said the recognition reflected the perseverance of students who had overcome social and economic barriers to excel in higher education.

She also referred to the college’s community outreach initiatives carried out through the National Service Scheme unit led by programme officer Sujit Kundu, noting that the institution has remained committed to social engagement alongside academic pursuits.

In a congratulatory message, Madhumita Manna, Director of Public Instruction, praised the college for creating an occasion to celebrate academic excellence and urged the students to remain connected with their alma mater.

Controller of Examinations of University of Kalyani, Bimalendu Biswas, said an ideal student should possess an unending thirst for knowledge along with moral integrity and the ability for self-reflection.

Among the dignitaries present were Asimananda Gangopadhyay, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Commerce at the university, and Samrat Laskar, Joint Director of Public Instruction and former Officer-in-Charge of the college, who stressed the importance of strong school education as the foundation for higher studies.

Local MLA Alifa Ahmed congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to pursue their goals with determination while contributing to society.

Established in 2015 in a rural area of Nadia, the college recently secured its first accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with a B+ grade in December 2024.
