Mamata appoints Kirti Azad as party’s Goa in-charge

KOLKATA, 4 MAY: Trinamul Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee today appointed Mr Kirti Azad former Congress Lok Sabha MP as state-in-charge of Goa Trinamul Congress with immediate effect.

Last week All India Trinamul Congress appointed Rajib Banerjee Tripura stat -in-charge and declared new committees including student youth and women wings and parties general secretaries and secretaries.

To commemorate party’s victory for the third term, Trinamul Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has called a state committee meeting tomorrow at her new party office in Tangra area.

On 5May, 2021, Mamata Banerjee took oath as the chief minister for the third time.

She said, “I am grateful to our Ma-Mati-Manush for having shown to the high and mighty, last year on this day, the indomitable courage of Bengal. 

Our people showed to the world that there is no bigger a power than the power of people in a democracy. Our commitment to true nation building should continue, for there are many more battles to be fought together and won together.”

“I dedicate this day to Ma-Mati-Manush and urge that this day be henceforth called Ma-Mati-Manush Divas. Jai Hind, Jai Bangla,” Miss Banerjee said.

Party sources said there is likely to be some changes in the state committee and leaders from Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Goa are likely to be present at the meeting.
