Various types of iron metals like coins, spoons and other light weight metal objects are getting stuck on his body.

Earlier, Arvind Sonar, a resident of Maharashtra’s Nashik had claimed that he got super powers where his body turned magnetic after being administered the Covid-19 vaccine. This apart same types of reports have come from North-24-Parganas and Siliguri where the beneficiaries have claimed that iron metals are getting stuck on his arms, chests and other parts of their bodies.

At Ghurni in Krishnagar, Subir Kundu and his mother have same version claiming that metal objects are getting stuck on their bodies after getting Covid vaccine.

When asked about the matter, Biswajit Dhang, OC, Health in Nadia said, “There is no science behind the incident. The claim is completely baseless and vaccine cannot cause a magnetic reaction in the human body.”

The Press Information Bureau’s (PIB) fact-checking arm, PIB Fact Check, has said these claims about Covid-19 vaccines are “baseless”. “Vaccines cannot cause a magnetic reaction in the human body. COVID-19 vaccines are completely safe and do not contain any metal-based ingredients. It is common to experience mild side-effects like mild headaches, pain or swelling at the injection site, and mild fever after getting the COVID-19 vaccine,” it said. “Do not fall prey to misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines and get vaccinated,” it added.
