KRISHNAGAR, 3 AUG: Krishnagar Police District on Friday handed over 146 lost or stolen mobile phones to their owners after tracing them through the cyber tracing system.
The SOG team of Krishnagar PD for the last four months conducted a special drive to trace as many mobile phones as possible.
The team recovered 146 mobile phones by tracing the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number.
Today, Krishnagar PD organized a programme at the Police Office Conference Hall where Ishani Paul, SP, Krishnagar PD along with Additional SP, Akshat Garg and other senior police officers handed over the recovered mobile phones to the owners.
When asked Mrs Paul said, “We have been able to recover 146 mobile phones which were either lost or stolen in different times. Our team conducted a drive to trace the lost or stolen phones. These phones were mainly recovered from different persons after tracing the IMEI number. Today, we handed over these recovered mobile phones to the rightful owners.”
