KRISHNAGAR, 17 SEP: A non-venomous snake was found in the room of the Sabhadhipati, Nadia Zilla-Parishad, prompting the sabhadhipati and other members to rush out from the room where they were sitting for discussion.
Panic gripped among the members on watching the snake inside the room and they immediately called the forest officials who rushed to the site and caught the snake.
The snake was later identified as a common Indian rat snake, locally called Darash.
The forest officials later released the snake in the forest.
