KRISHNAGAR, 2 MARCH: The SUCI (Communist) on Monday released a list of 193 candidates for the assembly polls in West Bengal.
The party’s state secretary Chandidas Bhattacharya said the party will fight against BJP, Trinamul Congress and Congress-CPI-M-ISF federal front.
He said they would contest from 22 seats in South 24 Parganas, 17 seats in North 24 Parganas, 18 seats in Murshidabad, 16 seats in East Midnapore, 14 seats in West Midnapore, 11 seats in Bankura and 10 seats in Nadia.
In Kolkata, the party will contest from four seats – Kolkara Port, Rashbihari, Beleghata and Jorasanko.
The party has won a number of times from Jaynagar and Kultali. This time, two former MLAs – Professor Tarun Kanti Naskar and Joykrishna Haldar – will contest from these seats in South 24 Parganas.
The party has fielded Manoj Das in Nandigram from where the chief minister Mamata Banerjee will contest.
In Nadia, the party has fielded candidates in Karimpur, Palashipara, Kaliganj, Chapra, Krsihnagar North, Santipur and Ranaghat North-West, Ranaghta South, Haringhata and Nakashipara.
