BURDWAN, 19 JUNE: The BJP state president Sukanta Majumdar today ridiculed Trinamul Congress’s secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s frequently ‘venturing’ to Tripura, besides, he also mocked at a band of BJP leaders like Dilip Ghosh, Anupam Hazra and Dudhkumar Mondal of Birbhum.
Majumdar, about Ghosh’s ‘hyperactive’ party works said here: “He’s the national vice president of the BJP. He’s a dignity that everyone should maintain. Dilip Da, like many others, had a significant role in BJP ‘s rise in Bengal. We must see – his honour and dignity shouldn’t be hurt.” About Ghosh’s recent ‘Dilipke Bolo (ask Dilip)’ electronic platform where the former BJP president has invited complaints from the unemployed youths those didn’t get berth as primary teachers despite of ‘paying cash’ to the Trinamul Congress leaders, Majumdar expressed his disgust saying: “We’d told to invite such complaints in the party’s mailbox but surprisingly he’s given his personal mail id – I don’t know why. It’s alright, however!”
About MP, Anupam Hazra’s twit supporting former BJP district president Dudhkumar Mondal in Birbhum that he cited about organisational disputes and discrepancies, Majumdar mocked at him saying: “Anupam is the national secretary of our party. He might discuss the issue with party’s national president JP Nadda.”
About Abhishek Banerjee’s frequent Tripura visit, Majumdar said: “He must visit Tripura and offer puja to Tripureswari Devi. He’s committed so much offences, he needs to do it.”
Majumdar came to attend the district committee meeting of his party in Burdwan regional office. He was also seen driving a motorcycle without wearing a helmet in Burdwan town. The police didn’t register any complaint against him, however.
