The Trinamul Congress tweeted that Mr Shah’s rules are for others but not for him, and he has failed to condemn violence in the BJP-ruled states. The party leaders further claimed that a BJP supporter was arrested for brandishing a pistol in West Bengal, but no BJP leader has made any statement to condemn the incident.

Trinamul Congress MPs Sudip Bandyopadhyay and Derek O’Brien have written a letter to Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Giriraj Singh, seeking an appointment with him. Mr O’Brien alleged that Mr Singh’s office had misinformed TMC MPs during their previous visit to his office.

The Trinamul Congress has accused the BJP of trying to malign West Bengal after failing to make any dent in the 2021 Assembly election. The party has been critical of the BJP’s efforts to gain a foothold in the state, and tensions between the two parties have been high in recent times.

The Trinamul Congress has been in power in West Bengal since 2011, and the BJP has been trying to make inroads in the state for some time. The two parties have been engaged in a bitter political battle, and the Trinamul Congress has accused the BJP of using divisive tactics to gain support.

The Trinamul Congress’s allegations against the Union Home Minister are likely to further strain relations between the two parties. The BJP has yet to respond to the accusations made by the Trinamul Congress.
