KRISHNAGAR, 29 APRIL: Trinamul Congress candidate from Santipur, Ajay Dey has been shifted to a Kolkata hospital from Saktinagar district hospital as his condition deteriorated fast this afternoon.
Dey was tested positive for Covid-19 a few days ago and he was in home quarantine.
This morning, he complained of acute breathing problem and chest pain and he was immediately taken to the Saktinagar district hospital. But, this afternoon, his oxygen saturation level in the blood came down drastically and shortness of breath occurred.
The doctors examining him then advised to shift him to a Kolkata hospital for better supportive treatment, sources said.
