KOLKATA, 12 SEP: Trinamul MPs, MLAs and senior leaders today said that BJP plays it’s Jumla cards once again. “Ajay Bisht’s government uses pictures of Kolkata infrastructures and Narendra Modiji is clearly losing the game,’ said Trinamul Congress Rajya Sabha MP and party’s national spokesperson, Derek O’Brien.
He stated today 12 September ,2021, a national daily shows the picture of the Uttar Pradesh chief minister Ajay Bisht standing and waving with the header ‘Transforming Uttar Pradesh Under Yogi Adityanath’.
“Along with his picture we can see a picture of West Bengal Infrastructure used as his own achievement. If one is familiar with Kolkata’s infrastructure, one can see ITC Sonar Bangla and JW Marriott along with that you can also see the iconic yellow taxi.” said Mr O’Brien.
“I thank UP chief minister Ajay Bisht for acknowledging Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee’s development. He came to West Bengal for more than eight times during 2021 Assembly poll in months of March and April and spoke about their double-engine government and now advertised WB’s infrastructure as his own development.”
“We here give some examples for UP chief minister so that he can bring out second and third advertisements using West Bengal’s progress, said Derek O’Brien
He cited examples like Kolkata is the safest city, Mamata Banerjee built 51,000 km rural roads whereas in UP only 1680km, she spent Rs2058 crore for rural roads whereas in UP only Rs 950 crore was spent on rural roads.
“BJP led UP govt stoops so low to take Bengal’s achievement as its own. Will Yogi government would even consider this grave mistake?” asked Mr Sameer Chakraborty, senior Trinamul leader.
Trinamul Congress national general secretary Àbhishek Banerjee, stated, “Transforming UP for Yogi Adityanath (Ajay Bisht) means stealing images from infrastructure seen in Bengal under Mamata Banerjee’s leadership and using them as his own!”
He said, “Looks like the ‘double engine model’ has miserably failed in BJP’s strongest state and now stands exposed for all.”
Mr Mukul Roy who recently joined Trinamul Congress from BJP stated that Narendra Modiji is so helpless to save his party other than changing chief minister’s, he has also had to resort for using pictures of growth and infrastructure under Mamata Banerjee’s governance as his own. “So Bengal model is model for BJP ruled states?”
Mr Partha Chatterjee, party’s secretary general said: “When even Ajay Bisht’s can’t help but use the Bengal model for his own advertisement.”
Mahua Moitra, Trinamul MP from Krishnagar stated, “Thagi Yogi in his UP advertisement with Kolkata MAA flyover, our JW Marriott and our iconic yellow taxis! Change your soul or at least your advertisement agency Gudduji.” PS:”looking forward to FIRs against me in Noida now.”
