Derek questioned whether this was in violation of the model code of conduct after dates for Assembly elections in four states and a Union Territory were announced.

“Election declared. PM photo still brazenly appearing on #COVID19 documents. Trinamool @AITCofficial taking up strongly with Election Commission @ECISVEEP,” he tweeted.

It is learnt that the second phase of vaccination started in the country and the Prime Minister went for the vaccination. Now, the senior citizens vaccinated across the country and after the vaccination digital certification was being distributed to those who were vaccinated. This digital certification contains the photograph of the Prime Minister.

Mr O’Brien said as five states and one union territory go to poll from 27 March and the filing of nomination has started from today, the use of PM’s photo on digital certification is gross violation.of Model Code of Conduct.

Political sources said, “Both NCP chief and senior Congress leaders also spoke against the use of PM’s photo on digital certification.”

Meanwhile, Trinamul Congress reacted vehemently after UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s speech at Gajol in Malda.

Mr O’Brien stated chief minister of a state with the highest number of crime reported tries to school Bengal.

The cricketer Manoj Tiwari who recently join Trinamul Congress stated “it is an absolute shameful example, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath chose to let a daughter lurk in pain while he was busy campaigning in Bengal. On a day an incident from Hathras has surfaced where a father was gunned down by a man out on bail because the father had complained against the harassment of his daughter, Yogi Adityanath chose to further spread his hate politics in Bengal.”

Trinamul Congress secretary general Partha Chatterjee today slammed the UP chief minister and said before coming to West Bengal for election campaign, he should concentrate  on law and order of his own state.

The Hathras victim’s father who lodged a complaint with the police against the rapist today shot the victim’s father to death.

Dr Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar said, “The count of dreadful incidents being reported from the @BJP4India-ruled UP is unending! The people of UP are suffering as the state of law and order is in shackles, yet @myogiadityanathis in Bengal?”
