KRISHNAGAR, 18 JUNE: Yet another incident of theft occurred in Krishnagar Collegiate School today. Two days ago, a theft attempt in the Physics Laboratory room of the school was foiled after local shop owners noticed them.
This time, the unidentified thieves conducted their operation in the Chemistry Laboratory room while the Headmaster of the school claimed that no things were stolen.
Manaranjan Biswas, head master of the government institution said, “Today’s incident was not a new one. The thieves attempted to filch laboratory items on 16 June. But, their attempt was somehow foiled. On that day, they conducted an operation in the Chemistry laboratory room along with the Physics lab. But, we only searched the physics lab. Today, when it was noticed, we opened the door of the Chemistry lab and found that nothing valuables were stolen.”
Sources said when the laboratory room was opened, it was noticed that water, coming out from the basin-attached taps, flooded the ground. As all taps are connected to the water reservoir, it proves that the thieves conducted their operation early today morning.
On 16 June, a theft attempt in Krishnagar Collegiate School was foiled after local shop owners noticed them. The incident took place at around 8 am.
The unidentified thieves fled the scene leaving the stolen articles at the site near the Physics laboratory room of the school when a shop owner challenged them from a distance.
The thieves entered the lab room through the ventilator and stole some equipment. They even dumped the articles in a sac, but they had to leave the place without taking the sac as some locals started approaching the site, a shop owner said.
