The website was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Kallol Paul in the presence of senior members of the association and a large gathering from the university fraternity. Prof. Paul, while addressing the audience, described the digital platform as a “vital bridge” that would enable the university to harness the collective achievements and goodwill of its former students. “A strong alumni network is an asset to any institution, and this portal will deepen our connection with those who continue to carry the Kalyani legacy forward,” he said.

The event drew participation from KUAA President Prof. Samir Kumar Mukherjee, Vice President Prof. Ashis Kumar Panigrahi, General Secretary Prof. Animesh Biswas, and Joint Secretary Prof. Sujay Kumar Mondal. The association’s office-bearers noted that the platform had been envisioned as a unified space where former students could register, reconnect, and contribute to the growth of their alma mater. They emphasised that the initiative would help build a more structured framework for alumni engagement, from mentorship to institutional development.

Nearly 200 participants — including faculty members, students, research scholars, officers and non-teaching staff — attended the inaugural programme, underscoring the broad interest the initiative has generated within the university community.

The website offers alumni registration, updates on events, details of membership, and various avenues for involvement in academic and developmental activities. A vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Mondal, who acknowledged the KUAA Executive Committee and the university administration for their support in bringing the project to fruition.
